Southampton Boat Show is fast approaching and Barrus are on a mission to find pictures of Mercury outboard engines through the decades.

This year, Barrus’ presence at Southampton Boat Show will be the biggest yet and they want you to be part of it. Year by year, they will be creating a timeline of Mercury outboard engines to display on the Mercury stand, E069.

They’re making a splash this year with the very latest Mercury Racing 450R outboard engine on display in addition to two Mercury outboard engines from the early 60s and 80s to showcase the changes in design and technology over the years.

Do you have or have previously owned a Mercury outboard engine? Just send across any pictures that you have of your engine and the dates to feature on the timeline. Entries must be in by 2 September by either emailing marine.leisure@barrus.co.uk, tagging @mercuryoutboardsuk on Facebook or using #mercuryturns80 on Twitter and Instagram.

All entrants will be in with the chance of winning one of four pairs of tickets to Southampton Boat Show and a Mercury goodie bag.
