British Boat Club opens Portland base
The members-only boat club, the British Boat Club, is officially opening its new Portland base at an Open Day on 25 June.
Nikki Walker, co-founder and owner of British Boat Club said: “Our new Portland base will enable British Boat Club’s members to explore the Jurassic Coast’s waters, which includes impressive fishing areas. This new base complements our existing bases which encompass Lymington, Hamble, Southampton and Hayling Island.
“British Boat Club’s Open Day will provide prospective boaters with an insight into how they can get on the water more often and for a fraction of the usual costs associated with boat purchase, and with greater flexibility.”
A fully turn-key service, British Boat Club’s members can book up to two days at a time on any of the boats, allowing them to travel to unlimited destinations. Upon return, members can immediately rebook their next trip on the British Boat Club APP. In addition, the EasyBook system allows members unlimited last-minute bookings.
The new base, in Dorset’s Portland Marina, will feature two of British Boat Club’s Gone Fishing fleet of boats. The Gone Fishing fleet is coded to MCA class 4 and are comprehensively fitted with extensive safety equipment. Gone Fishing club members can also opt for Pay As You Go Boating across the entire fleet at preferential rates.
The Gone Fishing option complements British Boat Club’s motor boating and its new RIB Club membership packages, providing a choice of leisure fishing boats located across numerous prestigious South Coast bases.
The Gone Fishing membership plan costs £250 per month, with no joining fee, enabling boating in quality leisure fishing boats from numerous locations, without the hassle associated with boat ownership. For more information and to book appointments visit www.britishboatclub.com.
