Throughout February, RYA affiliated clubs, recognised training centres and marine organisations signed up to the RYA Joining Point programme can take advantage of double commission for every new RYA member they sign up.

Set up in 2004 the Joining Point programme allows registered organisations to earn a commission payment for spreading the word about the benefits of RYA membership and encouraging their members and customers to join the association.

Joining Points will receive £20 commission for every family membership or £15 for every personal membership, they sign up in February, double the standard commission values, which can be fed back in to their organisation.

“The Joining Point programme is a real win, win, win for everyone involved.  Joining Point organisations earn valuable commission, new members enjoy the many benefits associated with being a member of the RYA and the RYA grows its membership”, commented Conor Lee-Swift, RYA Membership Development Manager.

“Growing our membership base is vital to support our work ensuring legislators, regulators and other authorities understand and take account of recreational boating activity.  Membership funds are also reinvested in to the organisation to help with participation, cruising and government affairs and performance activities, so the support of our Joining Points is crucial”, explained Conor.

As well as supporting the RYA’s lobbying activities there are many other great benefits of RYA membership including access to specialist cruising, legal and technical boating advice from in-house experts, exclusive offers and discounts from over 80 member reward partners, helping members save money across a whole host of products and services; as well as all the latest news and information.

Existing RYA Joining Points don’t need to do anything to register for this special promotion, the double commission will automatically be applied to their account in the November payment run. All they need to do is tell their customers about the benefits of RYA membership and get them to sign up; it’s that simple.

The commission paid will depend upon the number of new members that sign up and is paid on a quarterly basis.  The amount depends upon they type of membership signed up to.
