Sporting fans from all eras are set to enjoy some of the finest the sporting world has to offer with legends, trophies and heroes all to be seen, as the London Boat Show opens tomorrow.

Footballing favourite Sir Geoff Hurst, best known for being the first person to score a hattrick in a World Cup Final (1996) will be officially opening the Sunseeker International stand tomorrow at 12 noon compered by Premier League football pundit for BT Sport, Jake Humphrey. Sir Geoff will be joined by the Jules Rimet Trophy, kindly loaned by the FIFA World Football Museum, which will be on display at the stand throughout the day. The original 1966 England jersey worn by Roger Huntduring England’s victorious campaign will also be available for visitors to see.

Hot on the heels of an exciting third round weekend of the FA Cup, the London Boat Show will also play host to the Emirates FA Cup trophy on the Club Wembley stand from 10 to 14 January. Visitors will be able to get the rare opportunity to get up close and personal to the famous trophy and have their photo taken with it. Former Arsenal hero and FA Cup winner, Ray Parlour, along with talkSPORT presenter and former Scotland International, Alan Brazil, will also be paying a visit to the Show’s late night party evening on Thursday 11 January.

Christian Horner, Team Principle at Red Bull will be making an appearance at the Show this Thursday at 6:30pm. Christian will be signing a Memorandum Of Understanding with Sunseeker International and announcing details of an exciting new partnership* between the two global companies.

Other sporting heroes due to appear over the course of the Show include one of the world’s most successful offshore sailors, Mike Golding, the first woman to sail single handedly around the world in both directions, Dee Caffari, the fastest Brit to sail solo round the world in a monohull, Alex Thompson and British Sailing legend, Tracy Edwards MBE.

Back for its 64th year, the London Boat Show returns in January celebrating everything you can do and enjoy on the water. Bringing a world of inspiration and on-water experiences visitors will be treated to five days of the very latest in the watersports world. It will feature plenty of opportunities for visitors to master their skills for free, including a watersports activity pool, a 27m long dedicated SUP river and paddleboard beach clinics. The Adventure Zone will offer visitors the rare opportunity to experience the indoor cable wakeboarding park.
