Mercury & Dr Feelgood to headline at Crick Boat Show
Queen tribute band ‘Mercury’, and world renowned British band Dr Feelgood will take to the stage at this year’s Crick Boat Show (23 – 25 May), part of a host of entertainment planned at Britain’s biggest inland waterways event.
The 2020 Crick Boat Show, which takes place at Crick Marina near Daventry in Northamptonshire, is organised by Waterways World in partnership with the Canal & River Trust and Crick Marina, and is expected to attract over 26,000 visitors across the three show days. This year, an extra Trade & Preview Day in association with LeeSan is to be held on Friday 22 May – with tickets only available in advance.
As well as being the canal world’s biggest marketplace, showcasing the inland waterways industry with nearly 300 exhibitors, the Show offers a fantastic day out for all the family with dozens of boats to look round, free boat trips, live music, children’s activities, a real ale marquee, gin bar, and a large variety of food and drink stalls.
Evening entertainment is included in the ticket price each day. On the Saturday night (23 May), Mercury’s choreographed stage show will mix beautifully-crafted harmonies and intricate guitar work with authentic costumes, showmanship and energetic performances. On the Sunday night (24 May), rhythm and blues band Dr Feelgood will perform hits such as ‘She Does it Right’, ‘Roxette’, ‘Back in the Night’ and ‘Milk and Alcohol’.
Peter Johns, Publisher of Waterways World and Show Director, says: “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our 2020 Crick Boat Show, the UK’s largest inland waterways festival.
