Mercury Marine unveils two new Avator electric outboards
Mercury Marine has unveiled two new low-voltage electric outboards, the Avator 75e and 110e, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
New for 2024, the 75e and 110e complete Mercury’s 5-model lineup of low-voltage electric propulsion and bring Avator’s innovative features and intuitive use to a higher power level. Also at CES, Mercury offered a first look at the next step in its electrification journey with a high-voltage electric concept propulsion system.
Mercury launched its first electric propulsion product, the award-winning Avator 7.5e, at CES last January. The 20e and 35e, released in August, are CES 2024 Innovation Award honorees.
“We are thrilled to unveil the Avator 75e and 110e on a world stage at CES,” said John Buelow, Mercury Marine president. “As we deliver on our commitment to introduce five low-voltage electric outboards, we are also excited to provide a concept of a high-voltage electric propulsion system. This concept, along with our incredible internal combustion products which have redefined outboard performance, continue to position us as the innovation leader in the marine industry.”
The Avator 75e and 110e will be used on a variety of applications, including aluminium and composite multihull, aluminium fishing boats, skiffs, inflatables and smaller fibreglass runabouts. Like the 20e and 35e, the new models will also be used in commercial fleet applications and in ICE restricted waterways. The 75e produces 7.5kW (7500W) of propulsive power at the propeller and the 110e produces 11kW (11000W) of propulsive power at the propeller.
Additional details including pricing will be released upon product launch in mid-2024.
The full Avator low-voltage line-up and high-voltage electric concept propulsion system will be featured at this year’s Düsseldorf International Boat Show, January 20 – 28, and the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, February 14 – 18.
