Ocean Safety will once again be inviting boat owners to familiarise themselves with their on board safety equipment when the company opens its doors to visitors at its Southampton headquarters for a Servicing and Safety Workshop on 15 and 16 February.

Ahead of the weekend visiting boat owners and crews will be able to book their visit, then go along on one of the two days with their liferafts and lifejackets and watch them being opened and inflated and then leave them to be fully serviced and certificated before the new season starts.

This is a great opportunity to understand more about the how these vital products work, so that you are well prepared in case of emergency.

Ocean Safety’s team of marine safety experts will be on hand throughout the two days between 10am and 4pm to discuss a whole range of safety products, providing advice on which is right for your boat and your boating plans. As well as having a chance to see a liferaft being inflated, visitors can take part in a live flare demonstration and explore the full Jon Buoy range of man overboard products.

During each day there will be plenty to see and do so if you just want to turn up empty handed to watch the general demonstrations and talk to their experts you will also be welcome.

If you want to see your own liferaft inflated or equipment opened and checked, you will need to make an appointment. To get further information and to book your time slot email Service@oceansafety.com.
