The Royal Southern Yacht Club will host the second Hamble Classics Regatta on 16 – 17 September.
Building on the resounding success of last year’s inaugural regatta that attracted 65 entries, the event is set to welcome all styles of classic yachts including Metre classes, Classic Racers and Cruisers, Old Gaffers, Dayboats and Spirit of Tradition yachts, with racing formatted to suit each type.
All entrants will enjoy the superb facilities at one of the UK’s top yacht clubs, with first class race management and a full social programme.
The Hamble Classics Event Director and Royal Southern Yacht Club member Jonty Sherwill said: “We had a fantastic response to last year’s Hamble Classics and our aim this year is to welcome even more visitors to this superb regatta and to enjoy what the Royal Southern and the River Hamble has to offer. Some will take the racing very seriously but the event is all about the love of classic yachts, a chance to see old friends, make new ones, and enjoy some fun parties!”
