Returning once again as the title sponsor of the RYA Dinghy Show, Suzuki Marine will be showcasing the very latest in outboard motor technology as part of its line-up of ultimate four stroke outboards – across the weekend of 3 & 4 March 2018 at Alexandra Palace, London.

The only show of its kind dedicated to dinghy sailing, the RYA Dinghy Show is the ideal platform for Suzuki to exhibit a number of RYA specified safety boat packages.

RYA specified safety boats

On display at the show will be a 4.2m Virago RIB from Excel Boats.

With aluminium hulls using proven construction techniques for the inflatable collars from the larger Excel Vantage and Virage models and the specification from the Voyager models this craft is ideal for use as a club safety boat.

All models can be custom rigged complete with console, seating and remote controls as required and can be packaged with a Suzuki outboard up to 50hp.

Suzuki has also partnered with Ribcraft and Rigiflex to develop safety boat packages and, in conjunction with the RYA, is able to offer standard packages that will cater for the needs of most dinghy sailing clubs and training centres, including coastal clubs, using sheltered inshore waters, or less sheltered coastal waters and inland clubs using lakes or reservoirs. Suzuki outboards are absolutely ideal for safety boat use as they are reliable, fuel-efficient, quiet and incredibly easy to use.

In addition, Suzuki’s outboards are equally at home being used for other applications in the dinghy sailing world including powering tenders and small inflatables or chase boats, as well as acting as auxiliary outboards on cruising dinghies. With this in mind, Suzuki will also have F-RIB inflatables and a Wayfarer from Hartley Boats displayed on its stand (F10) at the show.

New outboard – DF9.9B

The new DF9.9B, which will be on display at the show, is the only four stroke outboard under 10 horsepower to benefit from a lightweight battery-less electronic fuel injection, which delivers quicker starts, smoother operation, and more acceleration in all conditions. This new model is perfect for small safety oats and chase boats.

New – Suzuki Marine Finance

For people who dream about getting out on the water in their own boat but find the cost too prohibitive, Suzuki GB’s Marine Division is now offering marine finance across its entire range of outboard engines.

Suzuki Marine has partnered with leading finance provider, Omni Capital Retail Finance (Omni Capital) for the initiative, which offers competitive finance options on the entire range of outboard engines, from the DF2.5 (2.5hp) up to the DF350A (350hp).

Suzuki is also pleased to announce the launch of its latest customer-focused bonus scheme, which applies to any of its models from the lightweight and portable DF2.5 to the class-leading DF40A.

New – Suzuki Marine Insurance Services

Suzuki has announced a unique ‘new for old’ insurance scheme to provide additional cover for boats powered by its ultimate four stroke outboards and give customers yet another reason to choose Suzuki.

The major benefit of this scheme is that if the worst should happen and a Suzuki outboard with this cover is stolen, you will receive a new like-for-like replacement outboard without deduction or any additional excess. The insurance, which is administered by Bishop Skinner Marine, applies to outboards up to three years old and boasts the assurance of being underwritten by the Beazley Syndicate at Lloyd’s, which has a secure A-rated capacity. Representatives from Bishop Skinner will be on the Suzuki stand during the show to answer questions about the scheme.

New – MOTUL partnership

From 1 March 2018 MOTUL’s products will become “Officially Recommended” by Suzuki GB. MOTUL’s extensive range of specialised products including engine oils, gearbox lubricants and much more will be recommended and used for all Suzuki cars as well as its two-wheel, ATV and marine products.

George Cheeseman, Head of Suzuki GB’s Marine Division, said, “We’re really excited to be returning to the Dinghy Show once again this year and look forward to taking the opportunity to meet new and existing customers as well as supporting our partner boat builders Ribcraft, Rigiflex and F-RIBs and our Dealers that will be on the stand, Seamark Nunn and Winsor Marine. We’re passionate about supporting the industry and value our partnership with the RYA, working together to get more people on to the water and enjoying boating.”
