Suzuki’s outboard protection
Suzuki GB has announced a unique ‘new for old’ insurance scheme to provide additional cover for boats powered by its ultimate four stroke outboards.
The Suzuki marine insurance has been designed to cover both boat and outboard, giving customers complete peace of mind. A major benefit of this scheme is that if the worst should happen and a Suzuki outboard with this cover is stolen, the customer will receive a new like-for-like replacement outboard without deduction or any additional excess.
The insurance, which is administered by Bishop Skinner Marine, applies to outboards up to three years old.
Suzuki already offers free Datatag security marking on its 30hp – 300hp models as an innovative and effective form of theft deterrent.
George Cheeseman, Head of Suzuki GB’s Marine Division, said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of this new insurance scheme. Outboard theft is a real problem.
“We have been working with Datatag for many years now to help look after our customers and prevent them from suffering at the hands of thieves. This new insurance scheme should give our customers even more added value and peace of mind.”
