Tickets are now on sale to the RYA Powerboat Racing Awards Ceremony, taking place at the Novotel, Southampton on Saturday 3 February 2018.

From circuit, offshore and jet sport racing categories the awards celebrate the crème-de-la-crème of powerboat racers and their successes throughout 2017 including British, European, World and Speed records.

A total of 27 awards will be presented at what is one of the highlights on the powerboat racing calendar.

“The annual awards ceremony is the perfect opportunity for racers, friends, family and supporters to come together and celebrate the success of the racers and the achievements made within the sport during the year”, commented RYA Powerboat Racing Manager, Jeni Jelf.  “There is always an amazing atmosphere, making it a night to remember”, Jeni added.

The evening starts at 18.00 for drinks, followed by dinner at 19.00, Awards presentation starting at 20.00, with carriages 01.00am. Tickets cost £65 if purchased before the 08 December 2017 and £75 thereafter. Those purchasing 4 or more tickets will also make a further saving of £5.00 per ticket.  Child tickets cost £40 for under 12s. Ticket price includes, three course meal, two bottles of complementary wine per table and entertainment.

The event also sees the return of the Powerboat Racing Industry Awards, recognising the companies and organisations who contribute to the sport’s success in other ways.   Nominations are now open for the following awards:

  • Leading contribution to powerboat racing from a marine industry supplier (safety / technology )
  • Best sponsorship of a powerboat racing team
  • Leading contribution from a host venue
