Tudor Sailing Club
Are you looking for a new way to get outdoors and active or find something you can enjoy together with the family? If the answer is yes Tudor Sailing Club club in Portsmouth is inviting you and your family to come and try sailing, gig rowing and kayaking on 13 May.
Whether you’re completely new to the sport or looking to get back on the water, RYA Push the Boat Out is the perfect time to give it a go.
The nine day nationwide event will see hundreds of people taking part in the sport with open days and taster sessions taking place at sailing clubs and centres across the country.
“We’re inviting the local community to come down to have a go at sailing, gig rowing and kayaking, see what our fantastic, family friendly club has to offer and get involved. Who knows, you might just get hooked!” commented Hannah Barnes, Commodore.
Starting at 11am, on 13 May there will be a whole host of activities taking place On the day you will be able to try for free:
Dinghy sailing
Yacht sailing
Gig Rowing
Kayaking
All you need to bring with you is a bucket load of enthusiasm, a pair of shoes that you don’t mind getting wet, a change of clothes, a jacket as it can get cold on the water and a towel.
There will also tours of the club, opportunities to meet current club members, plus a cash bar & BBQ.
They have a fleet of club owned sailing dingies including Optimists, Fevas, Teras and a Wayfarer that are available for members to use for free. Enabling you to get started on sailing before needing to buy a boat. We currently have yacht moorings and dinghy compound space available and offer great value sailing with excellent access to the Solent.
