There’s just six weeks to go until the RYA Dinghy Show in association with Yachts & Yachting which returns to Alexandra Palace for the weekend of 29 February – 1 March.

The 2020 show theme is ‘a world of opportunity – see where dinghy sailing can take you’ celebrating the unique wealth of opportunities that dinghy sailing provides. If you’re planning a visit with your sailing club, here is everything you need to know.

Expert advice exclusively for club members

The show is your chance to ask the experts. Why not make the most of the opportunity and speak face-to-face with members of the RYA team? Whether its club development advice you are looking for from the Regional Development Officers (RDOs) or legal advice from RYA Legal Manager, Mandy Peters, the whole team will be on hand to help.

Once again club members are invited to exclusive events providing the perfect opportunity to prepare for the season ahead.

RYA Club Briefing – Saturday 29 February, 10.30am

RYA staff will be presenting on range of topics to inform and update clubs to help make the season a success. Tea and coffee will be served from 10am and each person attending will receive a complimentary RYA Dinghy Show ticket.

Directly after the Club Briefing, The Open Legal Forum presents the opportunity to share any challenges your club may face with the RYA Legal Team.

Double Olympic Gold Medallist Sarah Ayton (OBE) will be joining forces with the British Sailing Team’s Sam Whaley and Olympic sailor Annie Lush to host expert speakers across the Great Hall Stage, West Hall Stage and the Knowledge Zone.

Hear how environmental campaigns from The Green Blue, The Big Plastic Pledge and the Final Straw are protecting the waters we sail in and how your club can get involved 14.15 on the Knowledge Zone.

Leading Coach and owner of SailingFast Duncan Hepplewhite will be talking about how to attract young people and how dinghy sailing may evolve in the next decade at 16.00 on the West Hall Stage.
