The Northern and Western Boat Shows have announced more of the boats that will be joining their line-up of powerboats, RIBs, narrow boats and sailing boats on show at Liverpool on 23 – 25 June and Bristol on 21 – 23 July, all at the heart of the Mersey River and Bristol Harbour Festivals.
Highlights include a selection of boat brands that will be exhibiting at both shows including Broom, English Harbour Yachts, BRIG and Glastron. Other boat brands exhibiting at either Liverpool or Bristol include Aintree Boats, Avon, Axis, Bavaria, Beneteau, Collingwood Boat Builders, David Moss Boatbuilders, Dad’s Boats, Demon Yachts, Dutton Amphibious Cars, Excel Boats, Explorer Boats, Gemini Marine, Highfield, Jeanneau, Narrow Boats, Ocqueteau, Parker, Viking, Viking Canal Boats, Warrior and Zodiac.
The Northern and Western Boat Shows will cover every aspect of the leisure marine industry from boat builders, canoes, kayaks, sail makers, marinas, holidays, chandlers, watersports and engine manufacturers to marine finance, clothing specialists and navigation equipment. A number of exhibitors such as Borrow a Boat, Starboard Locker, Eazyview and National Coastwatch will be at both Shows.
Borrow a Boat has launched a new platform which will bring thousands of boat owners and boating enthusiasts from across the world together. Billed as “the Airbnb for Boats”, Borrow a Boat currently offers boat charterers over 4000 charter options across 40 countries – and they aim to have over 10,000 choices later this year.
Starboard Locker has launched an exclusive new product that aims to protect both boats and the environment. The Bilge Buddy range is specifically built with boat owners in mind for keeping bilges and bilge water free from oil and fuel spills as well as dealing with any fuel spill that may occur when people are re-fueling tanks or generators.
The National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) is an entirely voluntary organisation keeping a visual watch along UK shores to protect and preserve life at sea and around the UK coastline and Eazyview supply inspection cameras that have proven very handy for boat owners inspecting hard to reach places.
This year’s headline sponsor Sailing Logic is also offering the chance to win a Helly Hansen crew mid layer jacket. The competition is free to enter by going to the Show websites at www.northernboatshow.co.uk or www.westernboatshow.co.uk and all entrants will receive an exclusive 20 per cent discount voucher to buy Helly Hansen products.
Richard Milbourn, Event Director of the Northern and Western Boat Shows said: “Not only is there so much to see at the shows but the Festivals are great fun for all the family with everything from historic ships, boat racing, music, flyboarding and much, much more! This year, Liverpool is proud to welcome Armed Forces Day, with plans for some of the most spectacular and iconic displays from the Armed Forces being welcomed to the city on 24 June.”
Visitors will be able to buy tickets to give them exclusive access to the boats on display on the pontoons with the Festival and land exhibition free for all to visit. Early Bird pontoon tickets for access to the boats are just £5 per day (plus booking fee) or £8 if bought on the day. To book tickets, visit www.northernboatshow.co.uk or www.westernboatshow.co.uk
